Well, to answer that burning question that some people have been asking me, I'm actually getting ready for college. It might be looking like I'll be going to Valencia Community College for now, until I have to transfer after 2 years. Where I'll transfer to? That's a question to which I, Gilbert Lopez, do not have the answer to at this moment. What will I study? Medicine. Yup, the medical field. I'm going to keep photography, my passion, as a great hobby of mine. I had a long ass talk with some people, and it's best to keep something like this a hobby, that I can always come back to and do. Plus, I'm starting to practice a lot of portrait stuff, yes. You guessed it! I REALLY want to make my own personal portfolio of bear portraits. Something I can keep and hold onto and keep close to me. Well, that's pretty much summing up what my next actions are and why I'm really not on here much (usually on Flickr now.) But, there's other stuff i've been doing as well. Woot!

I don't know what's up with me and this site. I kinda keep forgetting about it! I have been continuing with my photography. Trying to get into the portraits section of Photopass here at WDW. Yay! Hopefully it'll work! Hmm, lets see....I have taken some pictures of me, let me just put a little one up :)

Took a lot, and I mean, about 100 pictures of butterflies and such of the "Flower and Garden Festival". It's got to be my all time favorite celebration in Disney World, so here's one of my favorite ones that I caught and remembered that I wanted to see. The butterfly didn't live much longer after I took the picture, which is truely depressing. Glad I was able to catch it's beauty.

So, I had an AMAZING weekend. First and fore-most, I went to my very first pin event at Disney World, "Expedition: Pins". I adored it, I loved it, and I'm still in elation from it, I can't believe it! The highlight, though, was getting this really awesome pin box set! I still find myself holding it and looking at it and not believing I got it, thanks to this really, REALLY, EXTREMELY REALLY (Yes, the English language is changing) guy, who shall remain anonymous for private reasons. This is what the box looks like:



Then, after I recieved the box, that same person came up with the idea of getting it signed by the artist himself, who was there, what a coincidence! So he signed and personalized the box for me, and signed most of the pins in the inside of the box as well! How cool! After all that I'm definitely putting it in my shadow box!



So, yeah. I had one of the greatest weekends EVER. I'm never going to forget this weekend. I don't think i've felt this happy in a while, actually!!!!!! :D

I was just thinking, while I was taking pictures, a lot of things were going through my mind. That's just how I think, which would explain the grey hairs on my head. How does one cope, well, not cope, since that's the only word I can think of, but, get closer to someone? If you know they don't want to get "involved" but they do seek you out? Does that make any sense? Like, if you really think about someone, and I mean, REALLY think about, to the point they become one of your "happy spots" when you're sad, how do you tell them? Or even let them know? It's just uber embarrassing I think to even share that with a certain someone!

Okay, so i've been studying Spanish poetry as one of the final things we can learn in high school, and I read this one story called "Bronze Bees" and it's basically about how our population of real bees are decreasing, and one day we'll end up with the bootlegged ones that go crazy after a mega melt-down at some power plant. So, anyway, I found a dead one and thought it was kind of ironic that I should find it, even though whoever drowned it was a super asshole, but that's a whole different story :)



P.S. Is this in focus? I've been messing with he manual focus on the cybershot, and I kept getting closer, and closer, and further away to see how i could get it to be crispy. So technically, i'm not that close to the creature.

I was just roaming all the pictures like a boy with a red cloak on, and I ran into all my light shots, and then I went back outside, and did them again. Shockingly enough, I don't even do them consciously anymore, I just do 'em....Scarey.

I kind like how I was able to fit most of the World Showcase into this picture, something I wanted to do, with little activity going in the sky, which worked out perfectly-ish.

Eh, been around, just not on this site. Kinda been playing games, working, and just enjoying things, especially photography! I can finally afford my own SLR! YAY! And this is my macro shot of the month! :D

Yay, I'm 18, what joy. Going to Downtown Disney today to do a couple of things, taking the camera with me, and my pins. Woot, i'm so excited.

Jeeze, i'm just typing along with whatever spare time I have and I come to see the layouts have changed drastically. Oh well, not like the world's over, so I picked a layout with a nice juxtaposition of colors, and it just turned out to be a tad bit fruity. What joy. Anywho, so i'm sitting in front of CS3 fidling with whatever I can, and I found this! YAY!

Gin and Juice kills.

Have you ever had one of those moments where you're just trying to wrap yourself in a ball? But you have people, who are beng "nice" and caring, but you still push them away from you? It's people like those that seem to care, but i never notice until it's too late. I suppose it's too late for forgiveness, but honestly, what is the crime in trying to run away? Is there no justification in that?

Well, here's what's been going on. Moved to our new place, and it's the shit, I totally love it, which is what matters. Been working hard to get things going for me, and i'm transfering to Disney's Photopass! It's a great way to stay on top of my photography! Other than that, I think I'm going to double major in Programming, and Photography, with some sort of minor in film.

Just a simple little guy that doesn't bother anyone, he's probably been there for years now, staying out of peoples way. What amazed me is, he never asks for pity, or food, he just sits there all day, still as a long, how amazing is that?

Why is it so hard to forgive oneself?
How cruel can the golden moon be?
Life from 9 to 5 is easy?
Yet saying hello isn't?
It can destroy a single life. Or a Pair?
Depending on the circumstances is what you can say?
No. Not on the circumstances, but what society dictates because of the vile people.
Whatever. That's why I pray.

There are a lot of things that make me smile. Go figure, it turned out to be a dog that can walk.
